Hundreds of people showed up for the kick-off of the Diversity Market‘s second year on Saturday. The people who came to Pepperwood Plaza enjoyed slow-cooked meats, Mexican cuisine and frozen treats, while vendors showed off their handcrafted clothes, jewelry and artwork. The Antelope Lending Library’s Bookmobile was open for kids, as well as a fire engine from the Iowa City Fire Department. The Diversity Market is a project of the South District Neighborhood Association, and will be open at Pepperwood Plaza (1067 Hwy 6) every Saturday through July 30 from 1-7 p.m.
