Drive right on by that roadside fireworks stand and take in some live music this weekend instead — your ears and eyebrows will thank you. The Iowa City Jazz Festival will host headliner Stefon Harris (called “one of the most important artists in jazz” by the Los Angeles Times) and his band Blackout. K-pop group 82MAJOR swings through Des Moines on their North American tour, and the Mud Lake Bluegrass series kicks off in Dubuque with the Greg Garing Band.
