There’s fest’s, experiences and markets galore this weekend in Iowa. Iowa City boasts two festivals this weekend, the third iteration of the Illterati Fest at Gabe’s on Friday (we chatted with host Anthony Worden about it) and on Saturday, the Iowa City Latino Fest being celebrated on the Ped Mall. Windy Goat Acres, in the town of Chelsea hosts “The Faery Experience; An Immersive Fantasy Retreat.” There will be live music, aerial arts and plant walks among a slew of other fae inspired activities. Speaking of plants, two plant-related events caught our eye. In Des Moines, learn how to keep your houseplants healthy and tour the conservatory at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, while over in Dubuque you can plant some trees at the “Branching Out Kick-off Event,” the start of a city-wide project to plant thousands of trees throughout the community over the next 5 years.
