Established 2001 | Always free!

When it comes to the Weekender, it’s hard not to lead with the weather forecast. But we can’t help ourselves when the temps warm up (above freezing!) after a particularly Iowan brand of cold. Celebrate the air not attacking your face with these events. Iowa City sees the return of DVIP & RVAP’s Souper Bowl fundraising event at the Highlander Hotel. The Ideal Theater in Cedar Rapids hosts a swing night with live music by the Sam Ross Quartet. In Des Moines, DM Young Artists’ Theatre opens their run of Mary Poppins Jr. And in Dubuque, the Dubuque Museum of Art celebrates the opening of their spring exhibition, “Voyages.”
