The big destination this weekend is the Hinterland Festival in Saint Charles Iowa (let’s hope the temps of last years fest don’t return). If that’s not in your plans there are plenty of other music and arts events in our regions this weekend. QueertopIA, a celebration co-hosted by Dreamwell Theatre and Pride Alliance Center is happening at the James Theater in Iowa City. Sidetrack Skate Shop is hosting a summer jam with a pop-up market in Ames. And at the LiFT in Des Moines, Zoe Hermsen has a reception for her exhibition This is how I sleep at night which runs through August.
