Established 2001 | Always free!

Across Iowa this weekend we see a number of events that mash-up genres and activities. Some of these might seem strange on paper, but that’s what you thought when you tried that food pairing you swear by now. (Supposedly, for the adventurous out there, pickles and peanut butter is a treat.) The Power Glove-toting Heatbox brings his blend of comedy and beatboxing loops to The Olympic in Cedar Rapids. Experimental folk artist Jenny Parrott visits The Black Angel on Saturday, flexing their Omnichord and singer/songwriter skills. In Dubuque, B-1 Yoga Studio is holding a Karaoke Yoga session, where yoga practitioners are encouraged to sing along with the tunes. Check out the rest of the weekender for more!
