When it comes to end-of-week plans, we won’t blame anyone wanting to nest in their homes and get their hygge on. But if you brave the cold, there are lots of events happening in our reader regions this weekend. The Englert in Iowa City celebrates the musical legacy of Dave Moore tonight. An all-star lineup of artists will perform their favorite Moore songs, backed by Dave himself. There’s a bitter-sweet celebration at Lefty’s in Des Moines, where a roster of bands, including Resurrection Mary, Motel Pheromones and Hear from Tomorrow, will bid adieu to the closing venue. And for those in the Quad Cities wanting to shop local for the holidays, check out the Second Saturday Flea Market at the Raccoon Motel.
