We don’t care if there’s snow or strange dirty-brown rain (which is a thing now) we’re catching one of these shows this weekend. Trumpet Blossom has a trio of performers slated for Friday night. Mars Hojilla and emily the band visit from Illinois while Allegra Hernandez takes a break from their Girls Rock! gig in Des Moines to join. Speaking of our central-Iowa region, the Tejano Punk Boyz, Giovannie & The Hired Guns, bring their Texan country-rock tunes to Wooly’s this Saturday. In the Quad Cities, Chicago-based jazz trio Twin Talk is set to play two improv heavy sets at Rozz-Tox. Check the rest of the Weekender for more.
