It’s another weekend filled with an eclectic array of things to do in our reader regions. Perhaps you had no plans to visit a church this Easter weekend? Could a National Medal of the Arts recipient change that? The Fisk Jubilee Singers will perform with Cornell College choirs at the United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. For something a little different, check out the slew of rap and R&B artists at the Road 2 Iowa Summerjam at the Loft in Waterloo. The tour stop includes Iowa locals Killa Quey and Tone Da Boss, among others. In Des Moines, Choro Moingona brings the Brazilian style of chorinho, which originated in Rio de Janeiro in the late-19th century, to the Cave DSM.
