The fourth annual Iowa City Latino Festival takes place in the Pedestrian Mall this Saturday, Aug. 15. Kicking off in Upper City Park with a fundraising walk to support the Manantial Group, the festival focuses on all aspects of Latino culture and aims to positively promote diversity, tolerance, and acceptance in the community.

In addition to the nine local authentic Latino food vendors, offering everything from traditional Central American food to Tex Mex tacos and hamburgers, there are events for the entire family scheduled all day long.

The event will be hosted by Melissa Pacheco โ€œLa Chicanitaโ€ and DJ Zavala.
