The northern lights may have faded but there’s still lots to look forward to this weekend. It’s a busy time for Iowa City as the Floodwater Comedy Festival and Mic Check Poetry Fest both take place through Saturday. Over in Cedar Falls, the Octopus presents the College Hill-Billy Country Fest featuring Nashville’s Eliza Thorn, among others. And in central Iowa, the Des Moines Gamer Symphony Orchestra is holding their fall concert at the Urbandale High Performing Arts Center.
