On Friday, July 15, get your fix of house, techno, dubstep and of course, a drag show featuring Sasha Belle and friends.
As a continuation of our ten year anniversary festivities, Little Village is collaborating with the Yacht Club, Studio 13 and Solar Cathedral Productions to bring a night of heaven and hell to Iowa City.
If you haven’t already guessed, the Yacht Club will be keeping things heated with all things, well, hellish. Upstairs at Studio 13, a ‘heavenly’ experience awaits. Why, it’ll be absolutely divine.
Festivities kick off at 9:30 p.m., with the Sasha Belle and Friends drag show starting an hour later. With artists like Matt Rissi, Max Jacobson, DJ B-Fast and David Powers, the night is sure to be worth the $5 price of admission.
Little Village’s music editor Kent Williams describes Powers as a creator of “jazz and avant-garde electro-acoustic music with the house music rhythms that have been making folks sweat for the last 30 years,” and you can preview one of his latest sets below.
