Three Women and the Truth
The Mill — Friday, Nov. 18 at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale at noon today, Wednesday, Aug. 17, for a just-announced show at The Mill in Iowa City: Three Women and the Truth. Mary Gauthier, Gretchen Peters and Eliza Gilkyson, each a seasoned and spectacular artist in her own right, join their considerable forces to form this supergroup of country/Americana. This is a show featuring three songwriters at the top of their respective games — not to be missed! Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. The trio will be at The Mill on Friday, Nov. 18 at 8 p.m.
Gretchen Peters, recently name-dropped by Jorma Kaukonen as a dream collaborator, was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014. Blackbirds, her 11th record, was released last year.
Mary Gauthier was the Americana Music Association’s 2005 Best New Artist, and has just kept getting better since. In 2015, the Louisiana native was nominated for the GLAAD Outstanding Music Artist of the Year, a year after the release of her most recent album, Trouble and Love.
With a career spanning nearly six decades and 22 albums to her name — including her latest, 2014’s Grammy-nominated The Nocturne Diaries — Eliza Gilkyson is the elder stateswoman of this storied team. She hosts annual songwriting workshops with John Gorka in New Mexico.
