Craft an upcycled bag from materials heading to the landfill or thrift shop without a pattern. Upcycling clothes for fabric is an art form and often slow (there’s a reason it’s called slow fashion), but it’s really fun. Meet friends and practice the mantra: imperfection IS perfection.

Bring your sewing machine, lots of heavy-duty thread, a seam ripper, scissors, a ruler, at least 2 pairs of pants you don’t wear any more or are heading to the landfill (non-stretch is preferable but we can make anything work), and at least one other clothing item that has contrasting/cool colors. I like to use dress shirts that the lads in my life no longer wear or want.
