Sandbox is a little corner of the web that is dedicated to Iowa City artists working to engage the public in an interactive environment. Find out more here.

I’ve been taking photographs since 14 or so. It all started with photos of my friends skateboarding and then evolved into shooting live music and a handful of weddings. The fine folks of Public Space One were nice enough to select me for the Free Studio Residency program. My aim during my residency is to photograph local musicians, artists, friends, and interesting people in my studio and the various other workable spaces PS1 has to offer. I hope to collaborate with and photograph some of the people that make Iowa City a fun place to be. Don’t be afraid to contact me about making photographs together!

As luck would have it the fantastic Little Ruckus played a show at PS1 the night I moved my gear. He was kind enough to hang out after his set and let me photograph him. If you’re familiar with his music then these shots won’t seem strange. If you aren’t familiar… Look him up, he puts on a fantastic live show and is on a mission to make as many music videos as possible.
