Red Door Ensemble "How To Heal The Hurt By Hating"

Posted by Kent Williams | Jun 18, 2010 | Arts & Entertainment

I’ve never seen a show by this group, but I will try and hit one of the performances, if for no other reason than the title. The play is based on the book of the same name by Anita Liberty. Red Door takes what could be a one-woman show and has three actresses play the same woman. Intriguing, no?

The show will be on 3 successive weekends at Public Space One starting June 25th. So thats June 25th & 26th, July 4th & 5th, and July 9th and 10th.

Red Door doesn’t have a website up yet but they’re on facebook. They also have been written up by the PC and DI. They sound like a swell bunch of folks, who are trying something new in the Iowa City theatre world.

Kelli Michel, Jana K. Stedman, Ashley Yates, and no, I don’t know which is which.
