Iowa City Weekender: December 24 – 26

Posted by Weekender | Dec 24, 2009 | Arts & Entertainment, The Weekender

This week’s Weekender is brought to you by the Iowa City Public Library’s eBooks collection

Whatever your background or religion, and wherever you are from – whether it is holiday avoidance or holiday indulgence, it seems like everyone has a tradition for how they spend December 24th and 25th.

If you are celebrating Christmas, I hope you enjoy your turkey and eggnog, your candlelight service at midnight.

If you are celebrating Festivus, please air your grievances and air them loud and proud!

If you are avoiding it all together, I hope you enjoy your Chinese food and movies.

If you are driving to see your families, please do it safely.

If you are staying in Iowa City, or arriving from far, far away: we’ll see you at the Deadwood!

Happy Holiday, Iowa City!
