Killer Mike

It’s Day five of Mission Creek, and hopefully everyone had the chance to sleep in a bit this morning and recharge. I know I feel better after logging a full eight hours, which is extra necessary considering today is quite the literary, food, and music puzzle. […]

Show Photos: Thursday at Mission Creek

The saga continues…the town is both more weary and more energetic than it has been since, well, last year’s Mission Creek. Running up and down the alley

Mission Creek

Wednesday was a Mission Creek evening for me like a meal at a tapas bar. I caught six different bands at three venues, mostly traversing the alley between Gabe’s and Yacht Club to try and sample the most interesting music on offer. Not to take away from the bands I didn’t see–Slut River has been more transcendently trashy every time I’ve caught their performances-as-insurrection–but a guy can only be one place at a time. Thus, my peregrinations described in chronological order. […]

Your guide to Mission Creek: Thursday

pujol

I imagine most people who got their Mission Creek on last night are moving pretty slowly this morning. I know my brain seems to be on a dysfunctional autopilot after a late night of two great shows at Gabe’s and The Yacht Club, but I’ll happily forge ahead with Day three! […]
